In this slow shutter picture taken on June 8, 2021, "James" (centre R), who asked to use a pseudonym, a British teacher who has lived in Hong Kong for 12 years, poses in the popular entertainment district Wanchai where he became the victim of what has been dubbed a "Devil's Breath" attack -- technically the nickname for the powerful anti-nausea drug scopolamine but in this case used more as a catch-all descriptor, during which 8,250 USD (64,000 HKD) was taken using ATMs from his bank account. - A spiked drink, a puff of dust, missing memories, and an empty bank account.
