Ed Miliband and Ed Balls press conference; Question & Answer Session (Q&A Session) Miliband press conference SOT - On Libya - I supported idea of no fly zone, need to turn it from phrase into a plan / need to know what kind of commitment of our troops would be needed / want to support the government on Libya, can't stand by as Colonel Gaddafi takes greater hold, need to take action if we can - On economy - Alistair Darling plan was to half the deficit in four years Balls press conference SOT - Osborne boasted he would cut 40 billion pounds more than Labour, he wants to eliminate the deficit in four years, wants to match Greece in the extent to which he thinks he should crush the economy to a big fiscal contraction / describes economy when Alistair Darling was chancellor / now unemployment and inflation is rising, economy ground to a halt at end of last year / our commitment would be to half the deficit in four years / Osborne should radically re-think a spending and tax plan for next year, year after and year afer that which is too deep and too fast / nonsense that we have same plans as the Conservatives / what Osborne is doing is at the extreme end in the world and British economic history / Osborne has got it wrong and needs a plan b
