Decked-out Luxury Sedan a Work of Art and Sweet Potato Vendor

Video footage taken in December 2014 shows a barely recognizable Century, a luxury sedan made by Toyota Motor. Corp., that has been transformed with chromed decorations and blinking lights into a vehicle for selling baked sweet potatoes. Dubbed the Kintoki, the attention-grabbing vehicle is the creation of Yotta, a pair of artists who travel to various events around the country to show off the work. The vehicle, which won the 2015 top prize for a contemporary art work offered by the Taro Okamoto Museum of Art, Kawasaki, made an appearance at a Tokyo event on Nov. 19.
