Girl Places Flowers On Grave As Soldder
(Original Caption) 6/10/1951-Korea: Cpl. Bernard Weir of Chicago, IL., watches as a nine year old Korean girl places a bouquet of white roses on the grave of one of Weir's fallen buddies, at a United Nations soldier's Memorial near Pusan. cpl. Weir, one of the first U.N. troops to arrive in Korea last year, went to the cemetery to pay his last respects to his lost freind before he is returned to the U.S. on rotation. As he arrived at the grounds with a bunch of flowers, the small Koean girl youngster asked if she could place the flowers on the grave.
