Indivisible Denver, a local activist group, helped organize the rally as part of a national day of action to protest the continued permitting of oil and gas wells in Colorado. The group, along with residents of area communities and other local activist groups want a moratorium on permitting for up to 9 months until the new governor and the legislature have time to review future energy plans for the state. Indivisible Denver seeks to empower citizens to advocate for progressive values through political activism, community-building, and education. (Photo by Helen H.
