Afghanistan - The Little Seen Side of Kabul
Girls learn to read and write at a Pashtun vocational school in Kabul, Afghanistan. The school is run as a vocational school, billed as a place for women to learn handicrafts and sewing, so the husbands and fathers of the students will allow them to attend. If they knew that the women were actually learning mathmatics and reading, they could pull the students out of class. Several students have been beaten for attending.
