FDR Radio Address
11/4/1938-Hyde Park, NY: Portrait of President Roosevelt as he spoke during a radio broadcast from his Hyde Park home, the night of Nov. 4. In his speech, the President called upon the nation's voters to elect New Deal candidates, giving particular endorsement to Gov. Herbert H. Lehman and Sen. Robert. Wagner, both of New York and up for re-election. The President, shown here seated behind a cluster of microphones, also warned against the dangers of Fascist or Communist dictatorship.
