Trial of Japanese Red Army Militant Kozo Okamoto
Red Army militant and Palestinian sympathizer Kozo Okamoto, the only terrorist to survive the suicide attack at Lod Airport on May 30, 1972, stands trial for killing 26 civilians and injuring 78 others. Okamoto served 13 years of a life sentence in solitary confinement in an Israeli prison, but was freed in May 1985 in an exchange of prisoners between Israeli and Palestinian forces.
