(FILES): This October 10, 2005 file photo shows a 12-foot (3.65m) Burmese python that was captured in the backyard of a home at its new residence in the A.D. Barnes Park in south Miami, FL. The snake was captured October 9, 2005 and was the prime suspect in the disappearance of a 15-pound (6.8kg) cat that lived at the residence. Giant pythons are huge, capable of swallowing a dog, even an alligator, and they are rapidly making south Florida their home, potentially threatening other southeastern states, a study of the invasive species said May 15, 2008.
