Carcross Desert 照片檔
Carcross Desert is located just outside Carcross, Yukon, Canada. It is considered to be the worlds smallest desert measuring only 640 acres. Carcross is not a true desert, but an area of northern sand dunes formed during the last glacial period. As the glacial lakes dried up, the sand dunes were left. Today, the winds carry sand from nearby Bennett Lake and deposit it at Carcross.
