Thousands of Paper Cranes 照片檔

Strings of origami cranes in a rainbow of colors hang on display in Hiroshima, Japan. Paper cranes are a symbol of peace and hope associated with Hiroshima as a result of the story of 12-year old Sadako Sasaki, who died of leukemia caused by radiation from the atomic bomb. She believed that if she could fold a thousand cranes she would get well, and managed to fold 644 before her death in 1955.
