East German Rockers The Puhdys Tour 25 Years Since German Reunification
HALLE, GERMANY - AUGUST 15: Fans watch the Puhdys perform during their farewell tour on August 15, 2015 in Halle, Germany. The Puhdys were among the most famous rock bands in the former communist East Germany and still enjoy a strong following today. This year marks the 25th anniversary since German reunification and although eastern Germany has become a fully integrated part of modern Germany it struggles with high unemployment and disadvantageous demographics. Though few eastern Germans want a return to the communist past, many nonetheless feel a nostalgia for certain aspects of life before 1989, the year revolution swept away the communist regime.
