HONG KONG, CHINA - 2019/10/04: Firemen walk inside a Starbucks Coffee shop that was damaged by the pro-democratic protesters during a demonstration in Hong Kong.
Night of violence with protesters across city comes after city's Chief Executive Carrie Lam announces new anti-mask law. The legislation will be in effect starting from midnight on Friday, October 5th, 2019. The law will ban protesters from covering their faces in full or partially during lawful or unauthorised protests, rallies and marches. Failure to do comply with the law could result in a sentence of a year in jail and a fine of HK$25,000. Many believes once the anti-mask law come into force freedoms of expression and One Country, Two Systems will end. (Photo by May James/SOPA Images/LightRocket via Getty Images)
