Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt finalize divorce settlement after 8 years: US media

VENICE, ITALY - AUG. 29, 2024: Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have officially reached a divorce settlement, according to The Associated Press. The couple signed a default declaration filed in Los Angeles Superior Court on Monday, stating they have agreed on their marital and property rights, the AP reported. “More than eight years ago, Angelina filed for divorce from Mr. Pitt,” said Jolie’s attorney, James Simon, in a statement, to The Associated Press. “She and the children left all of the properties they had shared with Mr. Pitt, and since that time she has focused on finding peace and healing for their family. This is just one part of a long ongoing process that started eight years ago. Frankly, Angelina is exhausted, but she is relieved this one part is over.” Following nearly a decade together, the couple married in 2014, but decided to split up in 2016 due to ‘irreconcilable differences’.
