Congressman Issa says no historic basis to pack Supreme Court, Judicial Conference not seeking more Justices

California Congressman Darrell Issa tells reporters at a news conference with House Republicans to introduce an amendment to the Constitution that would keep the Supreme Court at nine Justices that to look at the Court system he would be happy to have a discussion and the GOP had a bill in the last Congress that would over time increased by 70 judges at the district and the appellate Court that came from a conference that the Chief Justice sits on who did not ask for more people at the Supreme Court, he did ask for and there was a bipartisan, bicameral basis, a change in the Court where it needs to happen and to do it over time so that no one Congress and no one president would automatically increase by 70 or 10 percent of the Court, which had actually changed dozens and dozens of times into the system.
