Germany: Berlin Marathon winner Eliud Kipchoge sets world record

BERLIN, GERMANY - SEPTEMBER 25: Kenyan athlete Eliud Kipchoge, who competed in men’s elite category in the 48th edition of the BMW Berlin Marathon, once again broke the world record on Sunday, Sept. 25.Approximately 45,000 athletes participated in the Berlin Marathon this year.Kipchoge won the marathon in Berlin with a time of 2.01.09 seconds.Thus, the 37-year-old former Olympic champion improved his 2018 world record of 2.01.39 by 30 seconds.In the run in Berlin, which is among the six biggest marathons in the world, Ethiopian Tigist Assefa took first place on the podium with a time of 2.15.37 in the women’s elite category.In the wheelchair category; Marcel Hug in men's and Catherine Debrunner in women's finished first.
