Knopfler ‘excited’ to unveil new Local Hero track to 50,000 Newcastle fans

Mark Knopfler explains in a Q and A with Alan Shearer at St James' Park, Newcastle, how a star-studded reworking of Going Home: Theme from The Local Hero came about. It is being launched this month in aid of the Teenage Cancer Trust, which Knopfler visited on Friday.The song, which is played before Newcastle United games, is being launched at the match against Wolves on Saturday.
