Serbian artist Marina Abramovic led seven minutes of silence from the crowd gathered at the Pyramid Stage shortly before PJ Harvey's performance. The artist, in a piece she called Seven Minutes of Collective Silence, asked for the silence to reflect on the state of the world. Emily Eavis struck the gong to begin the silence, which was impeccably observed by those watching.
