SPEECH - Fired Starbucks Workers Rally In Front Of Starbucks CEO Schultz Residence In New York
NEW YORK, NEW YORK – MAY 1: (SPEECH) Union organizer Larry Holmes talks about Starbucks and Amazon workers unionizing on International Workers Day as union organizers and two fired Starbucks workers rally outside the Greenwich West Village penthouse of Starbucks CEO and founder Howard Schultz accusing him of union busting on May 1, 2022 in New York City. Guest speakers and former Starbucks employees, Beto Sanchez and Lakota McGlawn, were allegedly terminated for attempting to organize a union in their Starbucks store in Memphis, Tennessee. Sanchez and McGlawn were part of the seven fired from the Poplar & Highland Starbucks location in Memphis and have been dubbed the “Memphis Seven”. Sanchez and McGlawn want to be reinstated and demand that Starbucks end its union-busting tactics. (Footage by Tomas Abad/Getty Images)
