Veterinarians treats injured wildlife at animal hospital in Medellin
MEDELLIN, COLOMBIA - NOVEMBER 20: Various wildlife animals are being cared for in the Wildlife Attention and Evaluation Center (CAV) in Medellin, Colombia.
Recently, they treated two wildlife animals a tropical screech owl (Megascops choliba) and a possum(Didelphis marsupialis), which arrived with injuries in their eyes.
The specialist who examined the animals determined the treatments and necessary interventions for the recovery of animals.
"We have patients in recovery and the idea is to rehabilitate and release them, to return to their habitat,” said veterinarian Estefanía Parra Ochoa.
Another veterinarian said they are planing for responsive treatment for an animal tropical screech owl (Megascops choliba), which has eye problems.
"We are going to start with the responsive treatment and in case of no response we will intervene to start a procedure and seek the resolution of the disease,” he said.(Footage by Tatiana Nino/Anadolu Agency via Getty Images)
