Garry Marshall: I was a drummer. That’s how I got through all the rejection of Show business. I could play drums and I worked 8 New Year Eve’s in a row and I finally took one off and that’s when my wife and I went to a party and she wasn’t my wife and that’s when i asked her about getting married and she says as long as you don’t work on New Year’s eve and play the drums and so we go married and we’ve been married a long time.
