NATO Secretary General Visits Portugal

The North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), that nowadays actively supports Ukraine in its fight against Russia, is a 32 member states' military alliance established in the aftermath of World War II to implement the North Atlantic Treaty, signed on 4 April 1949. It is a collective security system in which its independent member states agree to defend each other against attacks by third parties.
