Society Enjoying the North Shore Hospital Ball

(Original Caption) Society turned in force last night for the sixth annual North Shore Hospital Ball in O'Hara Hall of the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy at Kings Point. Notable among those who attended was the Duchess of Windsor, who is shown with Mr. Mrs. William Paley. This is the first public appearance of the Duchess since the party she attended with Mr. and Mrs. William Woodward, Jr. on the night that Mr. Woodward was shot to death by his wife in mistake for a prowler.
