CONCORD, MA - JUNE 26: The reinterment of Nathaniel Hawthorne's wife and daughter to Sleepy Hollow Cemetery in an antique horse drawn hearse that carries the lone casket. The hearse arrived first to The First Parish Church in Concord for words and blessings by two ministers and was driven through the town then ended at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery. About 40 descendants of Nathaniel Hawthorne gathered in Concord for the service to watch as the remains of the author's wife and daughter, which have been buried for more than a century in England, were reinterred to the family plot at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery.
