Protein Molecule: Matrix Porin of E. Coli

A three-dimensional computer model of a protein molecule of matrix porin found in the E. Coli bacteria. The image was generated by Dr. Manuel C. Peitsch at the Glaxo Institute for Molecular Biology in Geneva, Switzerland. The images are derived from the coordinate entries of the Brookhaven Protein Data Bank (Brookhaven National Laboratory, Upton, New York, 11973-5000), generated with the program RIBBONS (Mike Carson, University of Alabama at Birmingham, Center for Macromolecular Cystallography, 252 BHS, 79 THT University Station Birmingham, AL 35294), and annotated with IRIS-ShowCase (Silicon Graphics Inc). It is an interpretation of the content of the Data Bank entries as deposited by the crystallographers.
