A Fungus Among Us 照片檔

This poor fly has almost succumbed to a parasitic fungus. You can see the tendrils extending below the abdomen as they attach to the leaf. The fly is still very much alive in this stack, but it was moving very slowly at this point.This is a 60-shot stack at 4.3x, natural light, taken in the evening around sundown. The first shot was stopped down to improve depth of field in the foreground. This is the first stack I have attempted with my new wooden Berlebach mini tripod. I had no idea it would make such a difference in vibrations. I should have bought one a long time ago!
