Carpet Python Gatecrashes Picnic in Brisbane, Queensland

A cheeky carpet python gatecrashed a picnic in Brisbane's Mount Coot-Tha, forcing a temporary suspension while the snake slithered across the rug. Shaun Jones filmed this video showing the snake encounter. The snake made its way up from the water before making its way across the picnic mat and food, Jones told Storyful. "All of the other people were quite scared, as it came from the water, it was a shock to see," Jones said. (Footage by Shaun Jones/Storyful via Getty Images UGC)
