A 35-year-old woman works on a home renovation project, installing new floor tiles. From a high angle view, she kneels on the floor and uses a trowel to scoop thin-set mortar from a white bucket. She applies the mortar to the back of a large format tile and spreads it evenly with a notched trowel, a process called back buttering. Various tiling tools are scattered around her on the unfinished floor. The camera pans slightly to follow her movement.
