David Gareja monastery is rock-hewn Orthodox monastery in the Kakheti region. It is located in half-desert slopes of Mount Gareja. It is on the border of Georgia and Azerbaijan. Part of the monastery is located just over the border of Azerbaijan, here entrance to the cave church with beautiful frescos-angels on the ceiling holding circle around the cross.
