Based just north of Sydney, https://newswire.storyful.com/?search_term=port%2520stephens%2520koala&clearance_ids=56-82 Port Stephens Koala Hospital provides a wildlife shelter for marsupials in need, such as Jax, the koala featured in the footage. On the group's website, it https://portstephenskoalas.com.au/product/jax/ notes that, Jax came into their care "after being hit by a vehicle in Salamander Bay, and left at the roadside with a broken leg." They add though that "Jax is a very determined boy and after 10 weeks of intensive homecare, he was moved to one of our larger yards for further rehabilitation." The footage of his bellowing, which was shared to YouTube on November 29, indicates that he is in fine voice, and looks content while perched on a tree at the hospital.
