The National Weather Service (NWS) https://x.com/NWSBUFFALO/status/2014154875001614674 warned of whiteout conditions in heavy blowing snow and life-threatening travel conditions. The NWS expected up to five inches of snow accumulation across western New York state, with regions east of Lake Ontario forecast to see up to eight.
