Heap Leaching is a mining process used to extract precious metals.The ore is crushed into fine particles. Ore is placed on a liner, where chemicals like cyanide are added by a drip system. The chemical seeps down through the ore and bonds with the mineral. The mineral-chemical solution collects at the bottom of the heap and is transported to a mill where the minerals are separated from the chemical.
