Powerful Storm Tears Through Backyard, Pummels Poolside Furniture

Numerous properties were https://x.com/NWSPhoenix/status/1978231702477529126 damaged and trees were uprooted after a supercell brought heavy downpour and winds of up to 90 mph to Tempe, Arizona, on Monday, October 13. Footage captured by Alexander J McClure shows the intense storm thrashing his backyard, dumping buckets of rainwater into his pool and ripping his fence out of the ground. McClure said he was getting ready for lunch when he saw the storm coming on the news. 'I needed to get my dogs out to the backyard before the storm hit, and right after they went in I saw a wall of water coming,' McClure told Storyful. The National Weather Service (NWS) reported the damaging 'straight-line winds' moved through Guadalupe, Tempe and Scottsdale. The NWS issued a https://x.com/NWSPhoenix/status/1977829390139420734 Flash Flood Warning for the area, advising citizens to avoid floodwaters and move to higher ground.
