Senator Heidi Heitkamp speaks at a weekly press briefing about a healthcare bill underway by Senate Republicans, saying that people in America are mad because they are scared of losing care, children with disabilities becoming wards of the state, pre-existing conditions coverage and bankruptcy. Heitkamp says Washington is not providing leadership because for far too long, healthcare has been about politics and not about healthcare, so there is an opportunity at this point of chaos for Republicans to drop the structure and strategy of a reform bill to answer questions of a lot of people who are afraid, scared, mad and needing answers.
