Ukrainian Soldiers Train As Drone Operators

UKRAINE - OCTOBER 7: (AUDIO OMITTED) Ukrainian service members practice flying drones using simulators on October 7, 2026 in Ukraine. Ukrainian service members train as drone operators at the Unmanned Systems School of Operational Command West. Training begins with theory and simulator exercises, while FPV drone operators first learn to fly small Whoop drones before progressing to FPV systems. They practice engaging moving targets and enemy positions and learn to attach different payloads to drones. The school provides both initial military training and retraining for service members changing specialties. (Footage by SLM News/Global Images Ukraine via Getty Images)
