Statue Copying Machine 插畫檔

A detailed 19th-century technical engraving illustrating a statue copying machine (pointing machine). The plate demonstrates the mechanical system of proportional scaling used by sculptors to reproduce a small plaster model into a larger marble or wooden bust. The diagram highlights the articulated pantograph arms, simultaneous rotating bases with worm gears, and counterweight systems used to ensure mathematical accuracy in artistic reproduction.
