Stress 插畫檔
The effects of stress on the body - the resistance phase. During stress, whether physical or psychological, the body reacts in three stages: the alarm phase (first reactions to the aggression with acceleration of the heart rate and breathing), the resistance phase (adaptation of the body when the stress persists) and the exhaustion phase (illness and death). Stress activates the hypothalamus, which stimulates the pituitary gland via corticostimulant hormone (CRH). In response, the adenohypophysis produces ACTH (AdrenoCorticoTropin Hormone or corticotropic hormone, green). ACTH will stimulate the adrenal glands to secrete adrenaline (by the adrenal medulla, yellow) and cortisol (or hydrocortisone, by the adrenal cortex, blue). The release of cortisol has an effect on the heart, the brain and an analgesic role. Cortisol also acts through a negative feedback loop on the hypothalamus, so as to inhibit the production of ACTH. Adrenaline causes an increase in the force and frequency of contraction of the heart, also promotes the hydrolysis of glycerides. See image 1167407 for a female silhouette
