The Devil chatting to a monk 插畫檔

Satan chatting to - and probably trying to tempt -an incredulous-looking monk, while a crowd of motley characters stands around, listening. From “The Paris Sketch Book” by William Makepeace Thackeray (aka Mr Titmarsh) “with numerous designs by the author on copper and wood”. This edition was published by Smith. Elder & Co, London, in 1866.
