'Djungelskog' orangutan plush toys are seen in IKEA store in Krakow, Poland on February 26th, 2026. Punch, a 7-month-old abandoned Japanese macaque at Japan's Ichikawa City Zoo, has gone viral for his attachment to an IKEA orangutan mascot. This 'comfort orangutan' nicknamed 'Oran-mama' by fans, provides security for the monkey. The viral story caused global shortages of the toy in February 2026.
