Patan Durbar Square is a marvel of Newar architecture, has 136 courtyards and 55 temples, most of the current architecture is from the 1600, constructed during the reign of King Siddhi Narsingh Malla and his son Srinivasa Sukriti, Patan is one of the oldest Buddhist cities, is a center of both Hinduism and Buddhism. The Square is located in the center of Lalitpur city, is one of the three main court sections of the Kathmandu.
