Fresco on the wall.The Hadambu Monastery is a Romanian Orthodox monastery dedicated in 1659, was built by the Greek cellarer Iani Hadambul.The Hadambu monastery is a fortified cloister, representative for the Moldavian architecture from the 17th century and comprises:- the church, the "Nativity of Mary" (1659)- the entrance tower (the 17th century)- the interior wall (the 17th century).The entrance tower plays the role of both a fortress tower and a belfry. The old main church is not impressive in its dimensions but has several defensive facilities. It presents elements of gothic architecture.The second church, more recent and bigger, is a monumental construction placed up on the Big Hill.
