Pseudacanthops sp. 照片檔

This is a rare mantis of the family Acanthopidae normally well hidden from human eyes in the depths of the Amazon Rainforest. This is a view from the back showing the robe-like structure which covers most of its body. The lateral two points on the back of the head are the top of the eyes. This mantis can be called a dead leaf mantis.
