Red Spouter 照片檔

A wide-angle view of the unusual hydrothermal feature known as Red Spouter, which can range anywhere from a dry, steaming fumerole to a watery mud pot depending upon the season and amount of ground water. In this image, there is some steaming, bubbling water mixing with the bright rust-red mud to create a soupy mix. There are also cry mudcracks in front of the watery mix. A boardwalk encircles the feature and green conifer trees line the background. The day is sunny and the sky is clear blue, but Red Spounter and the area around is shaded and in shadows.
