Upper Monastery - Ostrog Monastery 照片檔

The Monastery of Ostrog is a monastery of the Serbian Orthodox Church in the Bjelopavlići plain, Montenegro. It is dedicated to Saint Basil of Ostrog, who was buried there. The upper part of the monastery is located against an almost vertical background, high up in the large rock of "Ostroška Greda" and was built in the XVII century. It was renovated in 1923-1926, after a fire which had destroyed a big part of the complex.
